Terminating a cPanel account in WHM is a permanent action that removes all the user’s data from the server. Check the step below to do it:

Log in to your WHM control panel using your root user credentials.

In the WHM search bar, you have to click on “Account Functions“

Next, you have to select Terminate Account.

Now, you’ll see a list of cPanel accounts on your server. You have to locate the account you want to delete. Then, you have to click the “Remove” button next to the username of the account you want to terminate.

A confirmation message will appear, asking you to verify if you want to remove the account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Second Method:

Keeping DNS Zone (if needed):

  • Before confirming, you have the option to keep the DNS zone for the domain associated with that cPanel account on your server.
  • There will be a checkbox named “Keep DNS Zone” next to each account. Tick this box if you want to keep the DNS zone.

Final Confirmation:

  • Double-check that you are terminating the correct account.
  • Click on “Yes, remove this account” to proceed with the termination.

Additional Notes:

You can also terminate multiple accounts at once by selecting the checkbox next to each account you want to remove and clicking “Remove selected accounts” followed by the confirmation.

It’s advisable to back up the website and any important data associated with the cPanel account before terminating it, as this process is permanent.

To Using the Exim Mail Queue Manager in WHM

Exim is the mail software that runs on your server to control email delivery, there are mail queue management options you can use with Exim directly via the command line.

How to use the Exim Mail Queue Manager in WHM

In this article Hostripples will show you how you can manage your Exim mail queue on your VPS or dedicated server in WHM.

Step 1 : Log into WHM.

tep 2 : Find the Email menu.

Step 3 : Go to Mail Queue Manager.

Step 4 : In the Search box type in user@hostripples.com.

Step 5 : From the Select Query drop-down and select Search Recipients.

Step 6 : In Search Type Click on Begins With.

Step 7 : Click on the calendar icon and Specify the Start Date and End Date.

Step 8 : Next, specify the Start Time and End Time.

Step 9 : Then, click on Run Report.

Step 10 : We can see that our messages to user@hostripples.com are Frozen.

This means that Exim has detected an error trying to deliver the message, and it is going to hold the message and try again later.

Step 11 : Click on the magnifying glass icon to view the message in a new window.

In this message we can see that it’s not delivering to user@hostripples.com because their mail server is giving us back the error of Mailbox quota exceeded.

Step 12 : At the top of the message you can choose to Delete Message which will completely remove it from the mail queue.

Or

you can choose to Deliver Message Now which will attempt to send the message again, in this case if the user has freed up some space on their email account it should go through successfully now.

That’s it !! 🙂

To create a cPanel account within WHM

If you want to resell your own hosting accounts, Please follow the step by step and create a cPanel account.

How-to-create-a-cPanel-account

Step 1: Log into your WHM.

Step 2: Click on the Account Functions.

Step 3: Click Create a New Account.

Step 4: Fill in the details for the new account.

(i) Domain Information

1. Enter the main domain name on the account.

2. Set a cPanel username and password.

3. Then enter the email address to be associated with the account.

(ii) Package

WHM allows you to create packages, which make it easier to manage cPanel accounts.

1. Package you could set limits such as the number of addon domains to associate to the account.

2. If you are just starting out, you probably don’t have any packages configured.

3. In this case, check “Select Options Manually”.

4. Set those limitations now.

(iii) Settings

1. Choose the cPanel theme to assign the user.

2. Select the appropriate language for the user.

(iv) Reseller Settings

The Reseller Settings section only handles making the cPanel account a reseller. Actual reseller settings are set elsewhere in WHM.

1. If you have the access to create a cPanel account, it means that you have reseller permissions.

2. Decide here if this new account you’re creating should have WHM access and be able to create accounts themselves.

(v) DNS Settings

The DNS Settings only apply if this server is going to be hosting DNS for this cPanel account.

1. Decide how the domain’s nameservers should be configured on the server.

2. If the nameservers specified for this domain name are going to be on another server.

3. Choose the option “Use the nameservers specified at the Domain’s Regsitrar”.

(vi) Mail Routing Settings

Mail Routing Settings only allows you to choose one item from a list.

1. Automatically Detect Configuration :

If this is chosen, the mailserver will be configured using the current DNS setting. You should not use this setting if you are planning to host mail for the domain on this same server. Otherwise, when you go to point DNS for the domain to this server, the mailserver will be configured as if mail were still being hosted at the old server. This will cause it to reject mail until the mailserver is configured properly.

2. Local Mail Exchanger :

If you are planning on using this account for the domain’s email, then it is a good idea to check Local Mail Exchanger. This will completely avoid the problems that can occur when the configuration is automatically detected.

3. Backup Mail Exchanger :

It is only useful if you have multiple servers, and wish this cPanel account to be a backup for an account on another server. In case the mail server goes down on the other server, this mailserver will receive and hold mail for delivery until the other mailserver is brought back up.

4. Remote Mail Exchanger :

The mailserver to pass any mail for the domain that comes its way to the correct mailserver. Only check this if this server will never host e-mail for this domain.

Step 5: After you have filled in all of the details above, click the “Create” button.

Congratulations, you have just created a new cPanel account!

If you are unable to create the account, and you believe that you have set everything properly, do not hesitate to contact Hostripples Support Center at the contact information below.

2) Edit the csf configuration file by using following command:

vi /etc/csf/csf.conf

3) Search for LF_SCRIPT_ALERT = “0″

4) Change the value from “0″ to “1″ to fix the issue.

5) Restart the CSF.

You may also get the following error :

“Check exim for extended logging (log_selector) WARNING You should enable extended exim logging to enable easier tracking potential outgoing spam issues. Add:log_selector = +arguments +subject +received_recipients”

FIX:

The ‘Account Function’ section of WHM there used to be a selection for ‘Limit BandwidthUsage’ for an individual account.

Adjust the bandwidth limit in WHM, then Follow these process:

1)  You would need to do is login to WHM. And scroll down on the left side to the Account Functions area

2)  Click the Limit button from the Account Functions section of the menu

3) Click the ‘Limit’ button to modify the bandwidth settings of the cPanel account

5) Type in the new monthly bandwidth value in megabytes.

4) Click the change button. The account’s bandwidth has been changed to the new value.

Note: You’re now able to easily change a cPanel account’s monthly bandwidth limits in WHM.
