To Install MediaWiki from Softaculous

MediaWiki can easily be installed by using Softaculous in the cPanel Software / Services. This tutorial will explain how to install MediaWiki using Softaculous. Please follow the steps and install it.

Step 1 : Log into cPanel.

Step 2 : Find the Softaculous icon located in the Software Services section.

Step 3 : To locate MediaWiki you can either type mediawiki in the search box in the top right corner.

Step 4 : Click on Wikis in the left column.

Step 5 : When you click on the MediaWiki link, you will be taken to the home page for the MediaWiki package.

Step 6 : Click on the Install tab.

You will be asked to fill in the details of the installation.

Step 7 : If you have multiple domains associated with this account, you can select where to install it.

Step 8 : The next two boxes require a Directory and Database Name, neither of which should exist on the server.

Step 9 : Under Site config, enter a Wiki Name and Email.

These can be changed later on from the application’s admin panel.

Step 10 : Type the desired Admin Username and Password that should be used.

Step 11 : Click Install.

After a moment, the software will be installed.

Step 12 : Once finished, you can view your new site by clicking this link.

You will be able to access your newly-installed MediaWiki by following the links on the page.

How to install R1soft cdp agent on the Linux server

To install R1soft cdp agent on the Linux server

R1Soft is an affordable, easy-to-use, high performance backup, restore, and disaster recovery software. Its a software application which is used to backup the data in a client (R1Soft agent) which is assigned to R1Soft server based upon the configurations which we define. R1soft can also be used to restore files and databases. You can install the Latest R1soft cdp agent on Linux server by using following steps.

Step No. 1 : Create the yum repository for the r1soft by using the following command

/etc/yum.repos.d/r1soft.repo
[r1soft]
name=R1Soft Repository Server
baseurl=http://repo.r1soft.com/yum/stable/\$basearch/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0

Step No. 2 : Install the cdp agent by using following command line

yum install r1soft-cdp-enterprise-agent

Step No. 3 : Then, install the header kernels by using following command line

yum install kernel-devel

Step No. 4 : Obtain the kernel module from R1Soft by using following command line

r1soft-setup –get-module

Step No. 5 : To Setup the authentication key for the Agent on client server

serverbackup-setup –get-key http://cdpserverip

Kernel module is now installed.

Now, Use the following command line and load the new driver.

/etc/init.d/cdp-agent restart

Step 1 : Log in to cPanel.

Step 2 : Click Softaculous in the Software/Services section.

Step 3 : In the Search text box, type whmcs.

Step 4 : Then press ENTER.

Step 5 : Click Install button.

Step 6 : Select the protocol in Choose Protocol list box.

Step 7 : Select the domain for installation.

Step 8 : Type the directory where you want to install the application.

Step 9 : Type the directory where you want to store application data.

Step 10 : Type the name of the database to create for the application.

Step 12 : Type the cron job intervals in CRON Job text boxes.

Step 13 : Type the name of the company.

Step 14 : Type the directory for the administration interface in Admin Folder text box.

Step 15 : Type the company e-mail address.

Step 16 : Now type your WHMCS license key in Valid License Key text box.

Step 17 : Type the administrator username.

Step 18 : Type the administrator password.

Step 19 : Type the administrator’s first name.

Step 20 : Type the administrator’s last name.

Step 21 : Type the site administrator e-mail address.

Step 22 : Select the language for the administration interface.

Step 23 : Select the language for the site.

Step 24 : Click the Advanced Options icon to expand Advanced Options.

Step 25 : If you do not want to receive e-mail notifications when application updates are available, select the Disable Update Notifications check box.

Step 26 : To receive site configuration information after the installation is complete, type an e-mail address in the Email installation details to text box.

Step 27 : Review the installation options and settings, and then click Install.

When installation is complete, Softaculous provides information about the application’s configuration.

Softaculous is a software that allows for the installation of Joomla with easy. Using the Softaculous software you can install Joomla on any domain or domain sub-directory. In this article you will find on how to use Softaculous to install a Joomla 3 application on your hosting account.

Please follow the steps by steps:

Step 1 : Log into your cPanel Account.

Step 2 : Under Software/Services section, Click on Softaculous.

Step 3 : Find Joomla script.

Step 4 : Click on Install button in order to start the Joomla 3 setup process.

Step 5 : Select Joomla 3 from the drop-down menu.

Step 1 : Click on My cPanel.

Step 2 : Under Software/Services section, select Softaculous.

Step 3 : Under Blogs section, select Nucleus.

Step 4 : Click the Install button.

Then, Configure the Software Setup.

Step 1 : If your site has SSL, then choose the HTTPS protocol – if not, either HTTP option will work.

Step 2 : Select the Domain on which you wish to install Nucleus.

Step 3 : Leave this blank to install into the root directory of the above domain name.

Note: If you have other software/scripts installed on this domain’s root directory, make sure you create a new folder and specify its name in this field to complete the installation. If you don’t, you will overwrite existing installations.

Step 4 : Create a Database Name.

Then, Configure the Site Settings.

Step 1 : Choose any name for your new site.

Step 2 : Choose a short name for your new site.

Then, Configure the Database Settings.

Step 1 : Create a Table Prefix.

Then, Configure the Admin Account.

Step 1 : Choose a new username.

Step 2 : Choose a new password. Ensure you record it for future use.

Note : Choose a secure password to ensure the safety of your account.

Step 3 :Choosing an alternate email.

Step 4 :Click on the plus sign beside Advanced Options

leave the Email installation details to field blank. Should you wish to have them sent to another email address.

Step 5 : Enter it.

Then, Click Install.

How to install Nvidia drivers in Ubuntu

In this article will give you how you can easily install Nvidia drivers in Ubuntu. Follow the steps and install Nvidia drivers on Ubuntu.

If you are using an older version of Ubuntu, or if you aren’t notified about additional drivers, you can launch the installation yourself.

Step 1 : Go to Software & Updates -> Additional Drivers

Then you’ll see that Nvidia drivers are not in use.

Step 2 : To Check or tick the box underneath Enabled to enable the drivers.

Step 3 : Click Enable Driver.

Step 4 : Wait for the installer file to download.

Step 5 : Open the downloaded file.

Step 6 : Right click on downloaded file and mark it as execute.

Step 7 : The drivers can only be installed in command mode, under sudo and the graphics daemon must not be running.

Step 8 : Switch to command mode tty CTRL+ALT+F1, then run following command to stop the display manager.

sudo service lightdm stop

Step 9 : If you see a blank screen, that means the mode resolution conflicts with improper video driver. Fix that by running this..

sudo sed -i -e ‘s/#GRUB_TERMINAL/GRUB_TERMINAL/g’ /etc/default/grub
sudo update-grub

Step 10 : Run your nvidia installer by using following command.

sudo ./NVIDIA_750TI_350.linux64.run

You’ll then see that the drivers are enabled and will be available for use upon a reboot.

How to install Zend Optimizer in Cpanel Linux Server

Introduction :

It is a free PHP extension to enable the web server to execute files encoded by Zend Guard/Encoder so it’s executed the same as any regular PHP files. Zend Encoder also is useful for encoding PHP files to protect source code. Zend Server supports any and all PHP code and provides deep insights into that code including the most popular PHP applications and frameworks like WordPress, Magento, Drupal, Zend Framework, Symfony, and Laravel. Any code you have in PHP will run on Zend Server. You will need to install Zend Optimizer in your server running Linux.

Installing zend in cPanel Linux Server follow this Steps:

Step 1 : Log in to your server via SSH with root user.

Step 2 : Run the following command.

/scripts/installzendopt

Step 3 : Follow the instructions on the screen to install Zend Optimizer.

Step 4 : Then, Restart the apache.

service httpd restart

Step 5 : To check whether zend optimizer is running and vserion.

php -v

It would show ioncube or zend optimizer version.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

When you want to install Zend Optimizer on a Non-cPanel server please follow the steps:

Step 1 : Download Zend Optimizer.

http://www.zend.com/en/products/guard/optimizer/

Step 2 : Upload the .tar.gz into your web server.

/home/temp

Step 3 : Extract the archive by using the following command.

tar -zxvf filename_here.tar.gz

Step 4 : Now a new directory should appear.

Step 5 : Execute the following command.

./install.sh

Step 6 : Follow the instructions on-screen.

Step 7 : Restart HTTPD (Apache) by using following command.

service httpd restart

Step 1 : To make sure that all of the packages we download to the VPS are up to date. Use the following command.

sudo apt-get update

Step 2 : You should have MySQL and PHP installed on the virtual server.

sudo apt-get install mysql-server php5-mysql php5 php5-memcache

To Install Memcache on Ubuntu 12.04

Step 1 : To install memcached via apt-get by using following command.

sudo apt-get install memcached

Step 2 : To install php-pear, the repository that stores memcache by using following command.

sudo apt-get install php-pear

Step 3 : To use PECL (PHP Extension Community Library) to install memcached by using following command.

sudo pecl install memcache

Step 4 : Click to Enable memcache session handler support? [yes].

You have completed the installation of memcache with PECL on the VPS

Add memcached to memcache.ini by using following command.

echo “extension=memcache.so” | sudo tee /etc/php5/conf.d/memcache.ini

You can start to using Memcache.
